About Telefónica Innovación Digital

Telefónica Innovación Digital (TID) is subsidiary of Telefónica responsible for driving research, development, and innovation (R&D+I) across telecommunications, information systems, and digital technologies. It supports the group by developing new products and capabilities through applied research, exploratory development, and technological analysis, as well as ensuring quality, testing, and validation. 

TID collaborates closely with industry partners, academia, and international consortia, providing technical expertise, fostering knowledge exchange, and leading joint research initiatives. It also manages technological assets and intellectual property, promotes innovation through events and training, and actively invests in and contributes to the broader digital and communications ecosystem at both national and international levels. 

Role in PIONEERS-6G

Telefónica Innovación Digital (TID) plays a central technical leadership role in PIONEERS‑6G, acting as Technical Coordinator (via Andra Lutu), leading WP2 on the design of the end‑to‑endOmni‑IoT platform and overall technical architecture, and leading key tasks including T2.3 (end‑to‑end service platform design), T3.3 (AI‑native multi‑cloud/edge core network orchestration), and T4.4 (Global IoT core domain solutions), driving the project’s core technical contributions.
