 The work in PIONEERS-6G will be carried out by researchers in the Distributed Intelligent Systems and Communications (DISCO) group at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. DISCO is a leading, internationally renowned research group in the field of mobile communication systems and services. Multiple research projects funded by European and national research organisations have created a highly innovative team of experts, with excellent research networks from both academia and industry.

 

Role in PIONEERS-6G

Karlstad University coordinates PIONEERS-6G (leading WP1 on Project Management) and plays a central role in all technical WPs (WP2, WP3, WP4) as well as in the dissemination and communication activities (WP5). In particular, KAU leads work on TN-NTN multi-connectivity and IoT device operation modes, contributing to the validation of solutions across the PIONEERS-6G use cases.
